Gearboxes (Nanotec)

Nanotec offers planetary gearboxes and worm gearboxes which can be combined with brushless DC motors as well as with stepper motors.

Due to their high efficiency and compact size, planetary gearboxes are especially suited for automation applications.

Worm gearboxes are mainly used in applications where the output shaft is offset by 90° from the motor shaft. As a result of their lower efficiency, worm gearboxes are self-locking at higher reduction rates, which may be useful in some applications.

The newly developed high-torque gearboxes achieve an especially high torque. Using simulation software, individual requirements can be calculated in advance, thereby allowing the toothing to be appropriately optimized.

PLANETARY GEARBOXES

Due to their triple meshing, planetary gearboxes have a very high torque and the highest efficiency with a concentric shaft output.

For applications that require a high torque and high profitability Nanotec offers high-torque gearboxes in combination with brushless DC motors and in combination with steper motors in several versions.

Due to their low backlash, precision planetary gearboxes are especially well suited for applications that demand exact positioning.

Nanotec's economic planetary gearboxes are designed especially for applications with lower loads. 

WORM GEARS

In the GSGE worm gears, the output shaft is offset by 90° from the drive shaft. A double shaft for double-sided output or a cover for the short shaft end are optionally available as accessories. GSGE gearboxes come with a high-quality, long-term synthetic lubricant on the basis of polyethylene glycol, and are therefore maintenancefree. They are characterized by high efficiency and self-locking. 

Please note: Due to their relatively high backlash (~1-2°), worm gears are not suitable for positioning applications.
