Iwaki magnetic driven chemical pumps MDF-L series
Mag. drive chemical process pumps
The MDF-L series has proved its reliability over many years world wide. It offers best efficiency without disregarding excellent corrosive resistance, durability and safety.
DRY RUN CAPABLE FOR HANDLING TOUGH CHEMICALS
MDF-L is a family of compact close-coupled pumps incorporating patented repeatable, dry run technology. ETFE fluoro-polymer wetted materials give MDF-L pumps excellent corrosion resistance to handle the most difficult chemical processes.
Modular construction simplifies pump maintenance, reduces parts cost and downtime. Casing liners, impellers, bearings and thrust surfaces are individually replaceable.
ETFE wetted parts make MDF-L pumps ideal for chemistries like HF, HCL, H2SO4, NaOH and others.
Installation time and maintenance time are reduced due to the compact, close-coupled design.
Operating costs are reduced thanks to simple, modular construction and individually replaceable parts.
The patented pinpoint bearing system defends MDF-L pumps from dry run abuse. MDF-L pumps equipped with carbon bearings can be run dry without damage.
Supreme corrosive resistance
ETFE is the main material of the wet end parts ETFE. This material is known for its high resistance to corrosion and it is almost equal to PTFE. For the pump parts, such as the spindle, bearing and mouth ring, Iwaki use the latest anti corrosive materials. In combination with the leak free, seal-less structure, this model ensures a safe transfer of strong acids and alkaline liquids.
Dry running possible
Due to Iwaki’s pin point contact system, dry running is possible - contrary to conventional magnet drive pumps. All models with carbon bearing are capable.
High efficiency / energy saving design
The maximum pump efficiency reaches between 50 and 55%, the highest level for plastic pumps. Energy saving was taken into full consideration during design.
